Frequency

The special series Frequency 3 is a collaboration between Paloma Klisys and multidisciplinary artist Cíntia Molter, brought together by a shared vision of public space as a field for artistic experimentation and collective resonance.
With a long-standing trajectory in spoken and written word, street art actions, and audiovisual creation, Paloma Klisys brings to the project a deep poetic and conceptual foundation that bridges language, sound, and image.
Their encounter reflects a convergence of practices dedicated to reimagining how art can inhabit and transform everyday urban experience.

Special series Frequency 3
Frequency 3 is an international collab between artists Paloma Klisys and Cíntia Molter. It is a translingual proposal of hybrid content production that mixes sound art (radio art), photography, film, video art, poetry and live performance.
The word frequency suggests the desire to enter and be in
in tune, which is mainly why we chose it.
We add to this the use of the number 3 in reference to first
second and third person and the way human relationships are established are established. From the first person we access the other (second person) and we are inevitably led to get in touch with the collective (third person with the collective (third person plural), the we.
To the number 3 many mystical and magical meanings have been attributed in different and magical meanings in different cultures throughout the history of and to play with this is something that is interesting to feed, in a poetic way, the creative process.
The proposal is a work in progress that contemplates the production of three podcasts (radio art) throughout the years 2023,2024 e 2025 open to the collaboration to the collaboration of Brazilian, Cuban, Latin American artists and researchers, and may include the participation of collaborators working in other territories.
The polyphony, the multiplicity of subjective views in relation to the world the world, the diversity of ways of being, of feeling, of thinking, of to exist, to produce art and knowledge are the main sources of raw material of raw material for the realization of this artistic/poetic process that is in progress.

Frequency 3 is an anthropophagic research/investigation that operates as a launching pad for poetic and reflective provocations/propositions with the aim of creating possibilities for cultural exchange, interaction and artistic creation.
The project proposes the exercise of ways of communicating that go beyond the purely rational discourse and that propose an unconventional listening.
It is precisely from the provocation, the listening and the opening to the resonances of the "outside", that the execution of actions will take place in order to provoke new connections with the goal of generating artistic/poetic/reflective content, to spread discussions related to behavior, production of subjectivity, challenges of contemporaneity, cultural exchange and production, philosophy, politics, activism, technologies and education.
The main objective is to work artistically with various discursive layers in order to direct the production of transmedia/translingual content through contact/contagion with the research universe of other artists, collaborators, researchers to be activated throughout the creative process.
FREQUENCY 3
{[( Topos, Kósmos, Kairós )]}
The word frequency suggests the desire to get in and be in tune, which is essentially why we chose it.
The concept of radio frequency serves to designate the frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum used in radio communications. Radio frequency waves are very present in our daily lives in audio transmissions, television, internet, etc.
Radio frequency comprises the electromagnetic spectrum that ranges from 3 kilohertz to 300 gigahertz.
To substantiate the modus operandi and the focus of the production of content related to this proposal, we chose to articulate the use of the word frequency with three other concepts that assist us in highlighting characteristics that will determine the editorial and propositional line of this special series:
Tópos - from the Greek tópos, "place." The concept allows us to make explicit that, for us, it is essential to recognize the specificities of each territory. From the word topos we can also play with the concept of utopia, which in turn comes from u-topos, meaning "without place".
Modestly we propose to operate as a space where freedom is exercised, a space where utopias can be fabricated.
Kósmos - the set of everything that exists from the microcosm to the macrocosm, from the stars to the subatomic particles. From the Greek - Kósmos, which also means beauty, order, organization, harmony.
Kairós - is the non-linear time. The concept of Kairos provokes us to exercise a broader perception in relation to the passage of time, going beyond the reading of time as a purely chronological time.
The notion of the linear passage of time articulated with the concept of Kairos provokes us to deal with the time factor in such a way as to give special attention to cycles and to the time of intensities.
One of the possible readings of the term kairós is opportune time, that which makes something special, memorable, not necessarily in quantitative terms but in relation to the meaning attributed to the events.
By using the three concepts described above we highlight and reaffirm the desire and the desire to experience a deep creative freedom with an especially attentive look at singularities.
We add to this the use of the number 3 in reference to the first, second and third person and to the way human relationships are established. From the first person we access the other (second person) and are inevitably led to contact the collective (third person plural), the we.
The number 3 has been attributed many mystical and magical meanings in different cultures throughout the history of humanity, and playing with this is something that interests us in order to feed the creative process in a poetic way.
The chilean filmmaker, poet, actor, and writer Alejandro Jodorowsky registered in one of his books: "the numbers have a life of their own as different entities. After the 1 (the whole in potential, fundamentally androgynous) and the 2 (accumulation of an experience, essentially receptive), the 3, creative explosion, is the first essentially active number. Doubly active, from life to death, from reproduction, to construction, to the euphoria of living, or even destruction, depression, the implacable transformation that demands the elimination of the old. Its vital aspect carries out the transformation by the hatching of the new".
There are things that we perceive meaning and things to which we give meaning. We continue in the movement of articulating meanings and making them visible to others so that they continue to give new meanings to things, to life, to encounters...
Places {[Topos]} Connections
First, Second and Third Person
How to make the connection between places and people?
How to highlight the connections between places and provoke connections between people?
Frequency 3 predicts the realization of experiments and creative provocations between artists and collaborators that transit through the most diverse fields of knowledge with the aim of provoking new connections that can generate artistic content.
temporalities, geographies, spaces, languages
Singular connections and collective games with creative possibilities

The programs are available on YouTube (with subtitles) and on the main podcast aggregator platforms.
Experimental meetings of collective listening

For the premiere of each episode, the idea is to promote "Experimental Meetings of Collective Listening", connecting various platforms (Discord, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Voxels)
The proposal is that after each listening session, listeners can participate in a conversation based on the affections and reflections generated by the content covered in each episode.

Frequency 3 - live

At the conclusion of the publication process of the Frequency 3 radio art series, the artists extend the work into a new transdisciplinary phase — the creation of a live audiovisual performance that translates three years of poetic and sonic research into an immersive spatial experience.
This stage of the project transforms the accumulated material — voices, field recordings, sound compositions, and visual archives — into a living performance in which sound and image are composed in real time.
The artists employ advanced software environments such as Resolume, TouchDesigner, Ableton Live and OBS combined with MIDI controllers, mixing consoles, and projection systems, to sculpt an audiovisual landscape that unfolds dynamically with each presentation.
In this live configuration, Frequency 3 transcends the boundaries between radio art, sound performance, and video mapping. The act of manipulating frequencies, textures, and visual rhythms becomes a gesture of expanded writing — a form of translinguistic composition where sound and image converge as equal forces of meaning.
Each performance adapts to the architectural and acoustic specificities of the site, reimagining public space as both stage and medium. Whether projected onto urban façades or within immersive environments, Frequency 3 proposes an experience that dissolves the distance between audience, city, and artwork — affirming the poetic and political power of listening and collective resonance.

Frequency 3 is a dive, an anthropophagic investigation open to the intervention of artists and researchers from Latin America, Caribbean and other territories
Frequency 3 is an artistic/poetic process, an act of disobedience, an artistic insubservience
artistic insubmissiveness in front of the embargo and beyond
Frequency 3 is a transdisciplinary project that unfolds as both a radio art program and an ongoing poetic-creative process.
Its production is conceptually grounded in the exploration of synchronicities, fluid encounters, and the subtle dynamics that reveal the inexhaustible creative potential of shared experience.
At its core, the project investigates how sound, voice, and image can act as agents of connection — shaping temporary architectures of meaning and resonance across territories and contexts.
We value encounters as catalysts of artistic transformation. Each collaboration within Frequency 3 arises from a space of permeability, where distinct research practices and languages intersect to generate new possibilities of creation and reflection.
Through this practice, we seek to contribute to the development of a living network of poetic and technological exchanges — a field where listening becomes both an aesthetic and ethical gesture, and where art reaffirms its role as a space for collective imagination and shared transformation.
The special serie - Frequency 3 as previously mentioned is a collab between Paloma Klisys and the multi-artist Cíntia Molter. Paloma and Cíntia met in the street, territory much prized by both artists as a space for interaction with random audiences, and through a sequence of events that involved the very Inscription Machine, street poetry movements, theater and cinema.
Connectors / Vectors
Paloma has dedicated the last two decades to the development of translingual projects and creative processes in which she explores possible intersections between performance/urban interference, the audiovisual and the spoken and written word.
Cíntia Molter graduated at the Buenos Aires film school, was a member of the student body of the Universidad Antropófaga do Teatro Oficina, and has been developing work and creative processes focused on analog photography, short films, and now in immersion at EICTV, one of the most respected film schools in the world.
Both are interested in working to strengthen cultural relations between Latin American and Caribbean cultures.

In the months leading up to the elections, Brazil faced a troubled process of attempts to destabilize democratic normality and the duo simultaneously found themselves in an extremely complex world scenario, yet with enormous potential for articulation and invention.
Among so many other waves, Frequency 3 is a proposal to seek tuning with and among multiple territories. The proposal took shape from frequencies that circulate through the vast weft of a social fabric permeated by historical processes, and its idealization had to do with a series of accidents and connections at micro and macro levels that culminated until now, Cíntia's emigration to Cuba to study cinema, a country that presents itself as an absolutely singular point, worthy of note and of landing, a "path on the way" that composes the immense patchwork of an affective cartography of ancestral reconnection with Galicia that Paloma had once set in motion.
Frequency 3 is a creative process carried out in an interdependent way.
